Azul Histórico 

So I spent my anniversary at Azul Histórico. Such a beautiful place! The food is more than amazing. They have a wide variety of Mexican traditional plates and beverages.

You can taste plates from around the country. My favorites from Yucatán.

I chose “Panuchos with Cochinita Pibil”  as the first course because, I was raised in Cancún and frequently ate Yucatán’s food therefore I could give an appropriate review.  They were DELICIOUS, with the original recipe, became the best I ever tasted.


Then “Mole Manchamanteles” with duck. This mole is made of pineapple and banana. The meal had a pear and apple kind-of  salad. It was awesome too. We, obviously ate this main course with handmade tortillas made of blue and white corn.


We love “Aguas frescas” in México, at this fancy Mexican restaurant you can find exotic flavors. We had the coconut horchata. YOU HAVE TO TASTE IT.

Dessert was not as good, but was cute. I order the chocolate tamale, but I loved my husband’s apple pie more.


What I love more about this place is the way the ambiance is planned to exalt one of the greatest riches Mexican culture can share to the world, its gastronomy. Mexican food happens to be one of the most delicious, diverse, and historic in the whole world. For us Mexicans, food represents our ancestors, love for others, and a gift to which we feel proud of. I believe no other country knows how to eat as we do. You can get close to this feelings in this place.
